    Barrie Collingwood Railway (BCRY)

Also angus is growing pretty fast, it makes sense to have a transit way to link it to barrie

Id love it if they could reuse the old allandale station and bring back the Canadian to barrie, anyways it makes more sense to go to utopia from barrie since it wouldn't require as much upgrades, keep in mind lots of the mac tier sub does not have gated crossing, and every go line requires it...

    Barrie Collingwood Railway (BCRY)

Hey guys, I noticed BCRY did a lot of upgrades this summer, I guess Barrie really wants to keep it going, and I must say the track condition is better then ever Burton Ave. Added a new signal shanty (Maybe adding gates in future?) Old: New Box: Also added new ballast to tracks: Also...

Turns out they added new track, nice to see them make the line in better condition To the left is the old track that was in place (From 1929 I believe) They also added new ballast as you can see, I don't think these new tracks are brand new, but the are for sure newer then the ones from 1929 lol

I believe they were tankers and Hoppers, and no there not there anymore, I think they went back down to Vaughan Also Yes Cn does go to Barrie, I asked my friend's dad who is a signal maintainer and he says they go about 2 - 3 times a month to Barrie at midnight, also the deal was CN gets the...

Saw something Really Rare today, I Saw a CN train at the Allendale station about 2 minutes ago with 5 railcars, They had a Gp9 rm and an SD 40-2w on the consist. Im pretty sure its for BCRY and also I guess then run this late due to GO using the line during day.

Recently Saw something I thought I would share https://bchry.weebly.com/ They want to preserve the line to run passenger trains, not sure if this is legit.

The Only reason CN did that deal with the Quebec Shortline Rail Company was so CN could have the other lines in Quebec and New Brunswick cause of a traffic increase, CN didnt want the Beachburg sub in the first place, The only reason they got it was because it was part of the deal.

Its Not so Bad, because the trackage on the Newmarket sub is High class trackage in good condition so they could run 60-45mph and it wouldn't be so bad at all. If CN could attract more business in Barrie to be more interested, they may take over operations in Barrie.

I like the Idea, CN goes up to Bradford already to serve customers, why not up to Barrie and bring cars to there yard, they can go up the newmarket sub, and switch on to the meatford sub at Allendale, then continue to the yard, Maybe CN would be interested in buying the line in the Barrie areas...

So Cn can go to Barrie still

    Barrie Collingwood Railway (BCRY)

Ya CN is a little sneaky, all the deals they make with little railroads like this one, they always get operating rights, and the right to buy back the trackage for a reasonable price incase of an Industry Boom, Its why CN is so successful. Another possibility is maybe south simcoe railway can...

really? on 120 year old rail, Dunlop has been recently paved id say the roads are safer, Lol 1 rail car a week is not fine, trains were designed to haul massive loads, the railroad is useless, only 2 railcars on average. If CN wanted to abandon this in the 90's you can tell that it wasn't...
