Hello, while not a Then and Now, I hope you enjoy this picture of Wallace Market on Symington Ave. I think the 'patina' is a delight for the eye. I hope they take down that fencing soon; I'll go re-shoot it.
Another Then and Now of the southeast corner of Huron and College. 'Then' was 2015, 'Now' was about a week ago.
I should have taken the Then pic in colour and had the option to convert it to black and white...
The new building is a homage to the old one - the old one was demolished.
Then and Now of a sorts.
We are looking at a old postcard of the Ford Hotel that used to be on the northeast corner of Bay and Dundas. I don't think too many of us can relate to the Ford Hotel but the 'Atrium' building there now is a nice bit of 70s office, shopping and food court space...
College and Huron SE corner again. I forgot this particular 'Then' [May 2015 I think], it was on my laptop.
The condo builders here perhaps sought to give the impression of an old facade saved, or a street level in tune with the neighborhood, but in fact the original building was demolished.
Then, SE corner College and Huron, June 2015.
Now,.. was today actually. I was going to wait for the construction to finish and a business to go in but they've been working on this place in slow mo and who knows when a business will establish there.
It only appears that they saved the facade...
