Some recent photos. The other two towers have been modeled. And they broke ground back in June.

Curious, Anthony, if the way you vet condos to pump has changed in light of this failure you helped promote? I do not mean this as an attack or to implicate you. It's been a go go market for a few years now and I wonder if you and other agents will do things differently moving forward?

    You called it years ago.

I'm surprised we've not adopted the Japanese model, build high density over commuter train stations. This seems to be part of an Ontario plan to start building high density around Go transit hubs. I've recently put money down on a two bedroom in the first tower here. It won't be going up until...

    TTC at Sheppard

It's a pretty long haul from North York (above York Mills) to downtown. Especially in winter when almost daily signal problems turn a 40 minute subway ride into 1.5 hours or more. Add in once or twice a week holds due to passenger assistance alarms and even "smoke at track level" crap and, well...

I've noticed they're starting to build one of the station buildings for the Steeles station.

    Food Truck Festival Version 2

Anyone try the original food truck festival in the Distillery District back in June? It was something of an over crowded disaster. They're trying again August 20. More trucks. Hopefully better organized! I might have considered giving it a pass but I noticed on their Facebook page St...

The Colourful Buses of Seoul So That Riders Can Spot Them Easily

The buses are also physically different. The green buses are smaller. The blue buses larger. The orange buses have high seat backs like a greyhound coach. There's no need to retask a green bus into a blue bus.

The Colourful Buses of Seoul So That Riders Can Spot Them Easily

Having lived in seoul during the change over from the old bus system to the new system, the article is pretty accurate. Although I don't think it notes the chaos that did follow the change. The mayor personally apologized for the cluster fuk transition. Still, once Koreans figured out where...

Anyone else screwd over by The Ballroom?

A group of us got a FabFind voucher for The Ballroom (the new downtown bowling alley). Nothing on the deal page or printed voucher noted any restriction other than it was only good for matinee bowling. We went on Sunday. They refused to honor the voucher claiming they didn't mean saturday/sunday...

    Canada's Constitution Fuels Urban Crisis

Has any Federal or Provincial politician gained votes by announcing massive funding for some Toronto initiative? Toronto will pretty much always vote Liberal. Liberals don't have to risk votes outside of Toronto by funneling money to those hated Toronto people. The Conservatives would have to...

Stash the trash: Takeout coffe cup deposit at Tim Hortons et al?

A deposit system can work independent of recycle value. I doubt the milk jugs at Mac's milk are really worth recycling. The point is to give someone a cash incentive to collect them and bring them back or not just toss them onto your front lawn but retain it for the deposit.

Stash the trash: Takeout coffe cup deposit at Tim Hortons et al?

That's sort of the gist of my deposit idea. As kids you'd scour parks looking for pop bottles, haul them to the store, and buy candy. A deposit system on takeout cups would create this kind of underground industry. Street people could get something to eat. And well said CityPainter. A...

Stash the trash: Takeout coffe cup deposit at Tim Hortons et al?

Very true, John. I was raised during the "don't be a litter bug" crying indian era. Tossing your trash on the ground was like worse than hitler. I guess now the kids think as long as they're buying from apple and not running a factory pumping out carbon they must be doing right by the...

Stash the trash: Takeout coffe cup deposit at Tim Hortons et al?

"I was starting to think that the tims coffeecup was becoming Torontos official flower because I see so many of them on the ground. " I love that line, Chammy. I'm going to quote you on the blog.
