I really hope this project never happens. With how fast/frequent the 905/986 buses are, this would definitely be spending billions of dollars to make commutes slower.
Lol we spent billions of dollars to make trips slower on Finch West (due to increased wait times and the line barely being faster than the bus). I hate this city.
The scheduled time is overstated. I got on the bus at 2:22pm and made it onto the 2:36pm 905A bus at Kennedy, so the actual trip took 13 minutes since I barely made the 905A.
Kind of dumb that they didn't adjust the 30 bus to meet with every train between Union and Bramalea. Having 2 buses every hour instead of 1 bus every half hour makes no sense, but that's Metrolinx for you.
This is a pretty big deal: https://www.ctvnews.ca/kitchener/article/metrolinx-extending-weekend-go-trains-to-kitchener/
Starting on Nov. 23, four existing weekend trips that had previously stopped at Mount Pleasant GO will now continue on to Kitchener GO.
Meanwhile, a weekday trip that had...
I've been wanting a Bike Share station at Kennedy GO forever. There have been multiple times where I've wanted to transfer between Scarborough GO and Kennedy GO to go east, and biking between the two is the fastest way to do it.
Yeah it doesn't really make sense since the provincial press release mentioned 15 trips total to Confederation, while 8 round trips to Niagara would give us 16 total trips to Confederation just with the Niagara service.
4 trips per direction isn't as impressive since that's what it was pre-covid.
15 minute service instead of 30 minute service on weekend afternoons/evenings. People don't like waiting and with 15 minute service, you don't really need to even think about the schedule.
