As much as the Big Dig in Boston concerns me, a tunneled Gardiner would be better than the current one. Make it wide enough not to require a super-wide surface street as previously proposed for a Gardiner teardown.
Now that I will be going to Sheridan I am more interested in this area. It was a nice surprise to find that there is that nice bike path on Trafalgar... but it is very disappointing that it is cut short before crossing the highway and getting to the GO station. You couldn't ask for a better...

This might be a stupid idea... but what if you built a GO station right next to the Fallsview using the Montrose spur? I guess your issue would be figuring out how to get back up to St. Catharines, either cheaply and slowly or fast but requiring a buttload of new infrastructure. Up the QEW...
