Did Union Station ever have split-flap departure or arrivals displays (aka Solari boards)? I love them, but they've certainly been of vogue for 30 years now. They cost many thousands to build (and no idea on their maintenance costs), so I'm not sure what a pair of boards would cost to represent...

There's no parapet. Back in Nov '24, they got an MVA approved to redo the top of the building. Originally the top three floors were all going to be multi-storey penthouses, with the mechanical penthouse and elevator overrun all incorporated into a flat roof, but those big units did not sell...

Balconies can be "thermally broken" so that they don't act as radiators for a building. Cladding quality needs to improve with the drop in the size of windows. Both can be done but developers here don't push enough for solutions that may be rare or untested here, but which are common in Europe. 42

Surely the expertise can be hired. I am left curious though regarding the financing of TCHC buildings... This is all being advanced with TCHC not having a capital budget for this or other projects, like 405 Sherbourne that @HousingNowTO mentions, or at Swansea Mews which isn't mentioned here...

There are no plan at all that would connect this to the PATH network. Maybe those websites you mention are misconstruing the fact that this will have a direct connection to the subway network as the same thing as being PATH connected. It is just one step removed... 42
