So, 204 more units, now totalling 694, but still just three elevators? What is this bullshit?
I rewrote the paragraph about elevators before publishing our front page story on this resubmission. Even though there are no laws preventing elevator service this bad, I hope saner heads prevail and...
I don't have time for a complete search now, but IIRC, all of the fanciful station design renderings have come from the developer/owners of the East Harbour site, as a way to attract businesses to relocate there, while all of the dumpy, boring, unimaginative and regrettably realistic renderings...
There are at least 5 addresses involved here, including on Gilead Pl and King East I suspect the daycare is a temporary measure. There's an assembly going on here for something bigger.

Yes, this is one of the SmartTrack stations under the City's budget. Bloor-Lansdowne and St Clair-Old Weston are the other two going ahead at the moment. Having a distinction between Province and City funded stations, when there will be no distinctions in the train operation afterwards, further...
The GO connection is going to be amazingly stupid. There should have been knockout panels built on the fare line level of the subway station, so that a direct connection could have been established between it and the GO platforms via short tunnels. But no, in their infinite lack of wisdom...

There's no parapet.
Back in Nov '24, they got an MVA approved to redo the top of the building. Originally the top three floors were all going to be multi-storey penthouses, with the mechanical penthouse and elevator overrun all incorporated into a flat roof, but those big units did not sell...

Balconies can be "thermally broken" so that they don't act as radiators for a building. Cladding quality needs to improve with the drop in the size of windows. Both can be done but developers here don't push enough for solutions that may be rare or untested here, but which are common in Europe.
