    Metrolinx: Finch West LRT

Metrolinx claims that the Finch West LRT MSF site was built with "Expansion Capabilities". Looking at the renderings and drone footage, how is this possible? It looks almost maxed out to me. Thanks

Awesome! Thank you very much. Never knew it existed!

I wonder why they were not warned this will happen when back in 2019 the FWLRT was signed off and early preparatory works had already started.

^^^ Metrolinx omitted a coffee/snack shop inside this new terminal. Really disappointed they did this and I told their customer service reps there if they could report to their managers to have Metrolinx consider putting one in. To me it looks like as they redesigned this bus terminal twice due...

Is that a outdoor pool above the future Farm Boy grocery store? If so that is so cool! And a BBQ area!!!

I was told by 2 different on site workers that the building will be completed June 2021. Don't know if that also means they can start occupying in June...

^^^I find the reduced heights decision along Finch very troubling. What would be their rationale for making such a decision. IMO its bad planning and a decision that will be regretted many years down the road. What ever happened to the benefits of increased density by major transit projects?

On January 4, 2021 to celebrate the grand opening of this terminal I hope there will be a promotion of some sort such as free rides originating at Kipling or maybe even free Tim Hortons coffee and donuts lol! If they did nothing by saying due to Covid-19 pandemic it did not want to encourage...

Yes I totally agree, looking out my condo window over the new six points street grid, it seems like the Mississauga/Miway buses is representative of 50% of the road traffic lol. It will be sweet to see that disappear and bring those Mississauga buses more west.

You could easily think this was some city in Europe with wide streets, sidewalks, bike paths etc. Traveling in Europe myself over the years, I can attest this exactly how it's done there. You can envision the short and long term potential of this neighbourhood. Planning done right can lead to...

Where will pedestrians be able to cross the street on Aukland from the new Viking/Aukland pathway so they can access TTC and Mississauga MiWay/GO safely? The newly built curbs and sidewalks don't give any hint how this will occur? Also, I can't find any renderings online that point out a plan...

Really like how the parcel of land on the south side of Six Points Plaza (lower left of picture) was retained by city to make open and wide sidewalks for public use instead of being sold off. Nice! Edit: Just realized that the design is in keeping with the original path of Dundas street (as...

Found this planning document about the Westward. IMO the city did its homework and this building was well planned and thought out. My favourite bullet point is the last one...• the introduction of a landmark tower, appropriately sited adjacent to the Kipling Subway Station that implements the...
