Major changes to GRT network are coming as part of the ION opening in (probably) September 2018 (fingers crossed)

In other news, the first new ION-branded bus for the Fairway - Ainslie BRT line is now in service. They come with white LED...
Chatting with the planners at the PIC last night, I think they really wanted to go to Viscount for this year but couldn't secure enough funding, which is a shame.

GO Service Change effective December 30: http://www.gotransit.com/public/en/updates/schedulechanges.aspx
In addition to the new Barrie Line trains:
New route 69 will provide weekday shuttle service between Newmarket Bus Terminal and Aurora GO. 69A branch will provide transitional service...
Effective December 2017, most 407 West buses (with the exception of 45, 45A and 48A) and Route 25F will stop at Highway 407 Station, before terminating at York University.
Looks like MiWay changed to plan yet again to include a new 142 Derry Express, while the 100 will start at Winston Churchill instead of South Common. Curious to see what the level of service and routing will look like for 142.
The proposed Innisfil GO would be located south of Alcona, which would be too far away from any of the existing bus stops along Yonge Street, including those in the communities of Stroud, Churchill and at the Town Hall / Rec Centre at Innisfil Beach Road. Ridership is not high at these stops...
Having a separate GO train station and local bus terminal is not unique, and perfectly fine if there are good bus connections (see Oshawa, Bramalea, Cooksville/Sq1). The real issue here is that most weekend/off-peak trains turn back at Aurora where YRT connections are terrible and, on Sundays...
Thanks for the details.
As for buses I assume there won't be any big changes until December, for the Highway 407 Station and Renforth Station opening.
EDIT: Looks like GO buses will start servicing Dixie Transitway station this September...
Looks like Barrie Line may be getting its 8th train round trip this September.
The new trains will be scheduled approx. 20~30 minutes later than the existing last morning/evening train.

501 will use the Vivastation at VMC and then head straight to York U without stopping. 501A will only stop at York U. There is not enough people connecting between 407 GO buses and Zum to justify looping at 407 Station. This was confirmed during the public consultation in March.
