You know......maybe someone should tell their render people about the whole Sheppard Subway thing........... just sayin. - Northern Light
A nice reminder of how far we've come (I don't know how to quote).
I think it's not only inevitable, but also logical. Such an improvement in transit would make it a great place for rentals, too.
Don't think the area would face nearly as much NIMBY resistance as other parts of the city that will have rapid transit.
Without transparency one cannot help but wildly speculate about the embarrassing reasons.
Colin Mochrie, having heard the reason, thinks it too ridiculous to be believable.
What confuses (or maybe doesn't but should) me is that a reasonable person can understand that climate change will not be solved by simply improvements in tiny ways. That same person seems to think that the housing crisis can be solved with baby steps. I understand the Marvel-esque hero/villain...
I think Ford's biggest threat for the next election is a seemingly inevitable Conservative win at the Federal level.
His provincial opponents seem like second or third stringers. One is Doug Light and the other is mostly invisible except for things like subsidizing trucks on the 407. I wouldn't...
I hope you're right. There was talk from a mayoral candidate about changing the Line 2 Extension to an LRT even as the project was underway.
Seems like significant LRT-support from people that will never use it.
I, also wish they elevated the surface section. It bothers me how the conversation/narrative is a focus on transit effectiveness or on cost. Fiscal conservatives really are frustrating.
As I have heard others mention, splitting the line seems more likely than real transit priority. Frustrating...
I know of someone that bought a house near Sheppard, hoping that there would be a subway nearby in the not too distant future. Little did they know the project was on the Bruno Caboclo timeline. Hopefully this will change.
This is absolutely false. Those who never spend time in Scarborough and want as little transit dollars as possible (though above the level where guilt would be triggered) spent in Scarborough want BRT. Keesmaat wanted BRT.
I do not agree with those against the BRT to Oshawa, but that's an...
