#10, the east-west line would be completely transformational for the region and this seems to be saying it's the next project in line as it's the only one to exceed the performance criteria. Forget tunnels and more highways, build this and connect so many of the regional centres and GO lines!
The GO station shouldn't even be considered until there's far more frequent service and express trains. Otherwise, it's just making a long slow trip even longer.
At West Highland Creek on the Stouffville Line, there's equipment being set up and new materials (those white "bails" they put in the water, I think?). Could this be the start of the great crossing?
I like how the lower cladding mirrors Jorgenson Hall's reflective lines of windows but vertically instead of horizonal. It blends in well from the east.
Express service on a non-Lakeshore line would be game changing for GO. I'm still hopeful for Stouffville, but the new stations at Finch and East Harbour will probably just add more time to a service that's gotten much slower over the years.
Thanks for the updates, all! Frequencies in Markham are slowly getting better, and I'm glad YRT has finally remembered they built a bus terminal in Cornell.
