    Mayor John Tory's Toronto

It's a good thing there is no Climate Emergency, where government is trying to reduce single use plastic.

Ontario Line (was Relief Line South, in Design)

I liked the idea of going straight on Queen to White Squirrel Way, and then south to the Ex. The less curves the better, and this had only has one real curve. There is a nice empty plot of land there to make this curve. It could have a stop at Liberty GO station and 800m later BMO, severing...

Lawsuits. Ontario’s appeal court sides with Ford government, paves way for 25-ward Toronto election Teachers and civil rights group lose legal challenge of Ontario’s controversial sex-ed rollback Integrity commissioner says Ford did nothing wrong in Taverner hiring

Hamilton LRT (Metrolinx/City of Hamilton, Planned)

I wonder if the bus would be less bumpy if this invested $50M per km to smooth it out.? I admit that I haven't followed this close enough, but my gut tells me that a BRT corridor is likely a better alternative the LRT for these cities of ~500k population. Various buses could jump in and out...

    Premier Doug Ford's Ontario

No doubt that against a 2003 McGuinty, Ford would lose big time. He won because we were coming off 15 years of politically corrupt and negligent rule by the Liberals. They made things so much worse that when people finally woke up - they realized it would not continue. With Ford, it will be...

    2019 Canadian Federal Election

I worry that when push comes to shove, and Canadians are getting ready to vote - they will realize what is truly important and vote for hair over competence and integrity. No doubt that Trudeau still has a chance as long as he continues to focus on the uninformed and apathetic voter. For...

    2019 Canadian Federal Election

I sense this will become a case where Bernier took advantage of an emotionally fragile Renata, and it will backfire on both of them. Not so much a star candidate, more like a candidate whose sole purpose is to annoy Doug.

    Roads: Ontario/GTA Highways Discussion

I believe they are twinning the Norris Whitney Bridge over the Bay of Quinte. I'd abandon highway 62 through Belleville, which is entirely or mostly a Connecting Link anyway, and have the short portions of Wallbridge Loyalist Road and old Highway 2 renamed as highway 62...

    2019 Canadian Federal Election

That headline is one way of interpretting the Forum Poll. "Poll Shows Sunny Days Continue for Justin Trudeau in Quebec" Another headline could have been; "CPC leads in every Region of Quebec except for Montreal". Its a bit unclear if they mean Montreal island, or Montreal area - because the...

    PM Justin Trudeau's Canada

What Jean Chrétien has done to Canada on the Meng Wanzhou case Terry Glavin: Why does Beijing think the Trudeau government can simply shuck off the U.S. and free the Huawei exec? Because a certain former PM keeps saying so.

    2019 Canadian Federal Election

We just have to admit that some people in society think there's an actual baby in the womb. Soon all will realize that is it ok to kill an unborn baby right up until the moment before it comes out of the womb - and maybe a little after that as long as the chord hasn't been cut - for any reason...

    PM Justin Trudeau's Canada

Well, if the Canadian PM is stupid enough to declare that his country committed genocide, I think Canada should be investigated.

Ontario Line (was Relief Line South, in Design)

I'm not sure I understand. In summer, there are stations at Exhibition GO, and a different one at Ontario Place. Then in the winter, the $200M station is boarded up and not used until the following spring. I imagine making Ontario Place a year round destination makes more sense.
