So where do we put music venues? Where are people going to go for entertainment? If a large club can't work in the middle of nowhere, where can it work?
Re-development in this area is not exactly right around the corner. Should we abandon the area and leave it empty while we wait for this...
I was a bit upset over swiss chalet closing! Picked up from there almost once a week since I live close by.
As for Aroma close by...The fact they close early every weekday and don't even open on the weekend at all is a bit disappointing.
But think about the great retail that will be replacing the club! Perhaps a Starbucks? The closest one is a full block away!! Or maybe a pharmacy? Rexall seems to be expanding all over the place... Or wait for it....A bank!!!

seeing some sites showing this as 593 yonge, others as 8 gloucester. The Gloucester address was approved for 34 floors, not 44...so I don't understand what is going on...

I still don't understand why it has to be demolished without a proposal even being submitted yet. The idea of walking by a boarded up lot or worse a parking lot for the next few years is depressing. What happens to all the retail next to it? That gets demolished too for nothing while we wait?
I recently booked an appointment for late in the day, closer to closing time. When i got there they said they were backed up and wouldn't be able to see me before closing, so I would have to come back the next day... Great service... What a joke.
