Road Safety & Vision Zero Plan

Strip malls were one of the few places that were able to not be gentrified (until now), they are located in communities that are mostly made of newcomers as they're where the most affordable neighbourhoods in the city, what's happening isn't new, it just changed locations to the inner suburbs...

Road Safety & Vision Zero Plan

bricks are a lot smoother than cobbles.. I remember watching a video about Copenhagen and how they made sure to smooth out cobbles and bricks to make it more comfortable to bike on. 🖤

330-350 Rathburn Rd W (Mississauga, Amacon Development, ?,?)

Here's the built form standards for city centre: On page 41 it says required 30 meters between highrise towers. As for midrise or podiums buildings must have a minimum of a 3 story facade facing...

why couldn't they have made the whole thing a ramp, the design looks so awkward😭😭, not to mention if two people who need to use it can't even pass each other while using it. 🖤

    Roads: GTA West Corridor—Highway 413—Guelph to 400

unless you mean an east/west line, extending a couple stops on the line I just made up and the article references the Bolton go line which would both serve southern Caledon. as for an east/west line, a transitway might be a good idea to connect the new developments to Brampton and the town of...

    Roads: GTA West Corridor—Highway 413—Guelph to 400

an even better idea would be to spend the GTA west highway money to get the Milton line dedicated tracks, all day RER service and operate the Orangeville-Brampton line as a branch of the Milton line, might even have money left over too, considering GTA west is going to cost 6-10 billion. or we...

Ontario Line (was Relief Line South, in Design)

In regards to station art and design, I really wish Metrolinx would give stations like any kind of colour, the are so many spaces that are just blank concrete walls that would look amazing if they had murals on them, how expensive can paint be? I think giving each station in the region its own...

    Planned Sprawl in the GTA

One thing that I've been thinking about for a while is why is there no multi story warehouses if land is so expensive? It's not as efficient for operations odivously but it would help a lot to increase density in the very large and low rise employment areas in the gta.

In 2018 Ryerson did a study of Mississauga and found that they can add over 400 thousand people in the city and not even encroach on the yellow belt while only using at medium density development. You can download the study here, unfortunately, it is the only way I've found to view it. If...

    Roads: GTA West Corridor—Highway 413—Guelph to 400

There is absolutely value in looking at this though an intersectional lens, there isn't much evidence this has much real benefit for lower income groups like you mentioned. Billion dollar corporations own land in the area and plan on developing them into suburban homes which will be sold at a...
