The paving started yesterday. From what us mtbrs call the 'Motown tunnel' to just short of the 'bridge to nowhere' is now paved. Tunnel is open .

It's happening! They have punched a hole through that raised rail bed and are placing the pieces. Working 24hr shifts to get it done. I am told it should be done by Monday am. Very exciting! 🥰

Work continues at the rail tunnel location. A bunch of site prep, and this beam was placed on interlocking blocks.

Rode through today. The 'work bridge' construction is underway, and they've cleared some trees at the tunnel site. Nice to see work getting done.

FYI the Bermondsey Access road is now paved. In terms of completion date: I have been told by someone close to this, that this project's completion date has been pushed back a year. Fall 2025 is when the tunnel is expected to be completed. Which is quite disappointing. If I understand...

Behold! The Thunderdome has a bridge over the tracks now.

I'm not sure if this enough to span the gap, but these have arrived. They are also working on the fencing from the Thunderdome down to the golf course bridge.

Revetment, fencing, and cage material now added to the Thunderdome.

Progress continues. Looking like there's going to be at least one switchback to get up and over the rail bridge on the golf course side.

Work continues at the bottom of the Bermondsey access road. The East side of the crossing (first pic) is mostly unchanged, but the west side has seen a fair amount of work including the pouring of some mega sonotubes (can't get those at Home Depot! :).
