Erin Mills seems to be very secretive on new retailers... I did hear that Shanghai360 will be opening here though. I count 15 different spaces for restaurants which seems a bit high for a mall this size?

Some new pics on my visit yesterday.. Mall work looks almost complete on the main wings of the mall.. Center court (area where the clock once was) is still a total construction site. The new food court looks great in my opinion, however I think they may have fallen behind schedule as all the old...

I think I know why they did that. To help brighten the lower level areas. They used to get so dark and dreary before.. These new lights should help brighten up the space quite a lot. I think it's looking good so far, but I'd just like to see some more color.. Looks very minimalist so far.

Strangely enough, the Nestle at Bramalea closed recently the same way... Wonder if that's chain wide?

Work is advancing, but only on the Bay wing, it seems.. And they're doing a strange "tile test" in the middle of the Target section.. They are doing a 'stain test'?? (sorry for the small pics, I think I sized them down too much)

Visited the mall today, and was very surprised to see NO construction anywhere? I thought it was slated to start this month, yet I saw no renovating or construction present? Hope they haven't changed their mind :-)

I think the problem isn't Target as much as it is us. We all expected that the stores should be exactly like the American counterparts. Well, it really wasn't going to happen. I will echo that they're prices seem too high but given time I think they will bring their prices down a bit. Also...

I kinda wish the clock would've stayed. Updated for sure, but hey, I suppose this sphere will definitely look unique when it's complete. What I find interesting is that this reno seems to be removing stores, rather than adding them. The center area has what.. Maybe a dozen retailers upstairs...

Sorta mall related, but not really.. Drove by Westwood Mall today (don't hear that often eh?) and the Walmart looks quite ready to open.. Exterior is all done up, and looking inside I see shelving etc up. Any word on an opening date?

Very quietly, both Kelsey's and Montana's have closed from the EMTC parking lot. I can't imagine they suffered from poor attendance as both were usually pretty busy whenever I went by there. Is that potentially to do with their upcoming construction?

... And the Heartland one closed as well. I think the Bramalea one may have too? The only Sony Store I've seen recently is in Sherway. According to an email I received, the mall is still planning on doing the renovation/expansion.. and an announcement will be "forthcoming".
