Emerald Park Condos (Bazis International, Plaza, Metropia) - Real Estate

I don't live in the building but this is also what happened to me when I took occupancy of my condo unit elsewhere. I had to send the developer a copy of my tax bills since I prepaid the estimated 2016 taxes and the first 6 months of 2017 upon closing. The developer didn't use this to pay the...

@currycannoli are you in a townhouse unit? If so, the two storey ones or the separate four storeys?

There will be extra storage below the added peninsula. We also extended the length of the island and increased the height of the upper cabinets. So, I don't foresee having ANY issues with kitchen storage - something that we're experiencing now :) The process to modify the unit was relatively...

The Taylor (Streetcar) - Real Estate -

I'll be taking occupancy in this building on March 22nd as well! I wonder how many of us will be, considering there's already 3 people here that have commented that their occupancy is March 22nd. The loft units have the typical galley style kitchen without islands. Depending on the unit, you...

The Taylor (Streetcar) - Real Estate -

This building looks like it's almost ready for occupancy. Is there anyone lurking UT that will be moving into the building? I'd love to see how the interior turns out as I am quite happy with how the exterior is coming along!

Closing costs going way up. Concern?

I'm not sure and I would hate to provide you with any feedback that was wrong! Just from personal experience, a friend of mine who bought a condo resale (but from the developer) had the levies and meter installation removed from closing costs. It's possible that this developer did the same...

Closing costs going way up. Concern?

Are you purchasing a unit where the building has already been registered? If that's the case, then I don't think you'll be having to pay some of the different levies (e.g. education, park, etc.) and utility meter installation that purchasers who bought pre-construction have to pay for.

Based on how The Carlaw turned out, I was worried that The Taylor would not look anything like the rendering. I started following this project as I thought the Oko Skin was really unique and different, and would have been really disappointed if it was replaced with spandrel or traditional...
