Odd and different can be beautiful, but that doesn't mean they necessarily are.

In this case, they had to modify the original but apparently still wanted it to be a draw; it has resulted in a design that seems to have something for everyone. Some curves, a triangle, some brick, etc. The ultimate result is an unappealing jumble.

Bingo. The new designs strives for a bit of everything... to wind up with no one single aesthetic statement. It's the architectural equivalent of the Garbage Plate meal that Jan Wong discovered in Rochester before we briefly got the CAT.

Emporis has this building as "Barcelona", and with a completion date of 2015.

Are we actually taking information from Emporis now? We seem to be very picky and choosy about what we take from that site.
Sometimes a mod won't edit the title to reflect what Emporis says, but this time seems an exception. Any particular reason for this? Did they have some sort of proof for the name, considering it hasn't even gone into marketing?

Assuming they don't just make things up for the hell of it, and without any other information to the contrary, why would it not be reasonable to rename the thread Khris? If it turns out that the building is eventually marketed under another name, guess what: we can rename the thread again.
