I detest Trump's lawlessness. But I'm not complaining about the 6 MOPs and 30 TLAMs that have reduced the Iranian nuclear program to rubble. They won't be able to be North Korea or Pakistan 2.0, hiding behind nukes while wreaking havoc across the world.

The United States did not reduce the Iranian nuclear program to rubble. Iran knew for some time that an attack on these facilities was coming (who didn't), and they removed the enriched uranium and centrifuges to a safe location. Iran is a vast country, and there are lots of places to hide this nuclear material, locations that the IAEA does not know about and will never know about after today.

How do we know that the Americans did not strike and reduce to rubble three uranium enrichment facilities in Iran? It's simple. If that were the case, we would have seen elevated radiation levels in the region. The IAEA and Saudi officials have said there are no increased levels of radiation in the region, which is a good thing because Trump could have brought about a Chernobyl-like fallout that would have had serious implications for US allies in the Gulf Arab region.

The significant mistake Iran made was becoming a signatory to the NPT and agreeing to IAEA inspections. They will not make that mistake again. North Korea did not make that mistake, and neither did Israel when it secretly developed its nuclear program at Dimona using stolen American-enriched uranium and stolen American technology. Even to this day, Israel denies it has nukes and refuses international inspections, while at the same time dragging the United States into war with Iran over an Iranian nuclear missile program that does not exist.

With this strike on Iran, Trump is about to lose about half of his base. They did not vote for this. They were tired of being dragged into costly wars for another country.

Finally, what "havoc" has Iran wreaked across the world? When was the last time Iran attacked another country? The claim that Iran is the "biggest state sponsor of terrorism in the world" is just propaganda from a certain source that is not backed up by any facts.

Trump will be Trump but you're right.

He just wanted to remain relevant and his in mind that means blowing things up to stay in the news.

Virtually nobody supports starting yet another war in the middle east however Trumpty Dumpty got it into his head that this was a good deal for everyone.

Who knows.. this may finally wake Americans up to the Oompa Loompa they elected.

No doubt it will wake up a LOT of Americans - AT LEAST HALF OF TRUMP'S BASE WHO WILL WANT NOTHING TO DO WITH HIM AGAIN!

Check out the Tucker Carlson interview of Ted Cruz below. Tucker was one of the major standard-bearers of the MAGA movement during the 2024 election. Tucker helped get Trump elected. From this interview, it is clear Tucker wanted nothing to do with a war with Iran. Starting a war with Iran is not "America First," it is "America Last" (I will give you three guesses which country it benefits). After last night, Tucker, along with millions of Trump supporters, will be feeling very betrayed. Depending on how Iran responds, it could mean the end of the Trump presidency. If Iran attacks American bases in the region, there will be 1000s of dead Americans. If that happens, Americans will be calling for Trump's impeachment. Iran did not threaten America. Iran was a signatory of the NPT and in full compliance with IAEA inspections, and yet Trump bombed Iran, putting the lives of the 60,000 Americans in the region at risk in the service of a foreign country. By definition, Trump is a TRAITOR!

For three decades, Netanyahu has tried to drag the United States into a war with Iran. All previous presidents have resisted getting dragged into bombing Iran including George W Bush who stupidly got sucked into invading Iraq by the exact same forces. Bibi finally found an American president stupid enough or corrupt enough (or both) to start a war with Iran. I do not doubt that Trump's actions last night will be worth hundreds of millions to him, perhaps even over a billion dollars. He will be richly rewarded. A billion dollars is nothing to the forces that have been agitating for the destruction of Iran for decades, and it is not like it is coming out of their own pockets. It's coming out of the pockets of American taxpayers.

If I was Congress, I would be looking to strip Don of all his power. Kinda like what our City did to Rob back in the day...but I am basing that on the assumption that Congress would grow a spine to begin with. >.<

Anybody who says this doesn't know how centrifuges work.

They definitely got out some fissile material. That's not the same as their program being preserved.

They'll try to reconstitute it when they can. And be bombed again.

Iran with nukes would be worse than Pakistan or North Korea with nukes. See Pakistan sponsorship of terrorists and insurgents in India and Afghanistan. Or North Korea's proliferation of nukes and rockets, along with massive involvement with organized crime in everything from money laundering, drug smuggling to currency counterfeiting. The US was never going to allow another version of this, this time motivated by religious hatred. Iran's motivation for nukes isn't self-defence per se. It's resume protection while they act on their millenarian fantasy and theology. It's the equivalent of a Doomsday cult getting nukes.
