So I'm confused. Is this going to be the tallest building (not tower) in Canada or is One Yonge Street going to be the tallest?
It'll most likely be the tallest in canada for a short amount of time before pinnacle gets completed, but at this pace pinnacle will top out before this one, so think of it as a race for who becomes tallest first 🤣

Thanks Olives! It's been fun to watch the progress of 1 Bloor W, and it seems we are in the final stretch with around a dozen floors left to pour. I've done this before, and here is another retrospective look. I started doing (mostly) weekly updates starting October 2020, so with the 4th anniversary just past, I thought some here might like to see the progress in annual increments. The main sequence are shots from the NE corner of Yonge and Bloor, starting with my first shot of the corner before the weekly shots. Then, to see more details of the rising tower, shots from Cumberland east of Bay, which I started documenting in July 2023, so the first shot I took there from that month, then annual updates from October (only 2 so far).

Thanks for the recap, complete with dates. A reminder while at times the progress seemed to move at a snail’s pace, it’s picked up significantly over the past 2 years. At current pace, and giving allowance for the slowdown in completing the next (and final) mechanical levels, I think it should snatch the title of Canada’s tallest building from FCP by end of January / early February.

Perhaps this has been answered, but are there people already occupying the lower floors while construction continues above. I know that's standard practice, but didn't know if that was the case in The One.

When I look at this video again that looks to be the case in the lower floors, unless that's just all construction equipment rather than furniture in there.

There is no occupancy in the building as of right now.
