Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

If the EELRT is going to end at Morningside n Sheppard, then the Sheppard extension should go to Morningside n Sheppard and terminate there as well.

That way we have east-west rapid transit on Sheppard / Eglinton / Danforth

To be able to go to Yonge n Sheppard from Morningside n Sheppard on a train would be game changer for Scarborough

You'd have a Subway line under a street that features the backyards of residential homes facing it? Wow,

It's almost as if Subways and Rapid Transit is about going from 2 different nodes quickly and not about only serving every individual house on a street 🤔

Wow look at this: An Elevated Guideway in the middle of literally nowhere. Vancouver must really like wasting a ton of money on literally serving nobody... right?

Or how about this, literally the busiest line on the network literally travelling behind people's backyards! What a travesty!

This stretch of Sheppard is ripe for densification. Should probably include a station between Faywood and Wilson Heights.
Wasn't that the plan in the 1990s?

The tail tracks already extend to the station box for Senlac, just west of Welbeck Road. With the design to build a bridge over the West Don, I'd assume that the approaches to the bridge between Senlac station and "Bathurst North" station would be cut-and cover. Which only leaves 2 km of tunnel between "Bathurst North" station and Sheppard West station. I wonder if there's an option of doing elevated between the West Don and Sheppard West - the ROW there is huge.

Next steps in building the Sheppard West Subway Extension - by Councillor James Pasternak, seconded by Councillor Cynthia Lai 2022.MM47.77 City Council 2022-07-19
Boy I can't wait for the NIMBY's to begin demanding the line be tunnelled under Earl Bales Park because "they deserve an underground subway" and anything else would be second class. You know this is exactly what's going to happen.
