What's the future for the Conservative Party?

Do they not hear themselves talk?
Talking of which ... this in the National Post:

"Erin O'Toole: Canadians conquered Vimy Ridge. We can win the battle against COVID, too" The Tory's always seem to equate things with 'the war" - I honestly see little connection with Canadian bravery at Vimy Ridge with a scientific, logistical and PR battle to 'conquer covid' and also wonder how many Canadians even know what or where Vimy is. (Though we all should and today is its anniversary!).

Yes, we can win the war by being utterly undisciplined in our behaviour; by whining about necessary restrictions; by not applying our best scientific minds to the problem at hand; by private nursing homes focused on nothing but the bottom line; etc. etc. It is indeed a war, and his party seem to house a lot of those who seem to wave the white flag at the first sign of battle.
