Anyone else having problems with flickr?

I either don't get the links to the photo's to work or show. Then it is the over size photo's that are larger than before using _b. as shown below. Using _m., it ends up 75% than the _b.

Didn't had problems before this year upgrade.

Yes, the Rexall in the Atrium has the benefit of the foot traffic from the food courts and office towers above. -

Plus, there is another Shoppers inside the TEC. - I'm not a business genius, but hmm.....

I'm sure Shoppers will do fine. They always do.

- The Eaton Centre location is always totally overcrowded.
- Rexall is kind of empty, but so's the Atrium most of the time (compared to the mall)
- The new shoppers is closer to Ryerson.

Is it really up to PenEquity to install things like ceilings and floor tiles and other internal decor? Wouldn't that be up to the future building management in association with a consortium of the larger tenants?

Well they own the building so it is up to them. The Eaton Centre is maintained by the owner (Cadillac Fairview) and not Sears, The Gap or the other stores.

The posted pictures are rather disappointing to look at. They also look very unfinished. But at this point it'd be foolish to hold our collective breaths for PenEquity to finish this properly.

By being below street level, the Atrium Rexall's always seemed an afterthought...

Very true.. if they put in a ground level entrance like the LCBO, it would have been much more effective. Right now, it's obvious that the management wanted to just fill in the empty space that was there before.

Canadian Idol is holding auditions at Dundas Sq this weekend causing TTC and the contractor PCL who is doing the new tunnel entrance as well Toronto Life Square have gone into panic mold to get the new Subway entrance ready for start of service Sat.

I had to laugh when I saw crews putting signs up today on TFS as this has to a temporary use as the tunnel as only has part of the ceiling up. There is about 4' gap between the new section and the exiting stairwell. It been that way for about a month. This start, what the end of Sept? Only a 3 month project at most.

There is a tarp covering both sections today to keep the rain out. If tunnel is to remain in service after this weekend, scaffolding will have to be install in the tunnel so crews can finish build rest of the ceiling and then back fill the hole. Otherwise, the tunnel will be close until all work is finish. You will have to push/pull doors open at each end of the tunnel. May before it 100% complete

I know PCL has been burning the midnight oil to get the -1 level of TFS ready so other new stores could be open to the public. I guess this includes TTC now. Shoppers Drugs could open this weekend as it been ready most of the week. A few more should open next week follow by a few more the following week.

Considering the response to the unfinished look of the Museum station renovation, I have to say that the TTC signage fits in quite well with the unfinished look of TLS.

Maybe the TTC should move its shabby gift shop from Union Station to TLS.

Great job guys. It really gives me so much hope when construction crews know how to use a level.

That dundas sign looks like its an inch difference from the left to right.

Oh yeah, when you sentence has less than a character width on the board, there is something called a "return" key to move down to the next line.

This is uglies ceilings ever i saw. the beauty of this building will ruined by this ugly ceilings

Beauty? I don't think it's beautiful. Impressive yes, but beautiful ... I guess it truly is in the eye of the beholder.

What the hell does "Dundas Street, North East Side and westbound streetcars" mean? How is it the north east side of Dundas Street? I know what it is supposed to say, but this is still an annoyingly unclear sign.

It was probably a toss up between that sign and one which says:

EXIT to street : [Streetcars] : Dundas Street top right of intersection and 505 headed to left when north at top of map.

and not something as simple as:

EXIT: [Streetcars] : Dundas Street and westbound streetcars.

Do they really think they need to elaborate on EXIT to ensure they know it is an EXIT "to street" when the sign already mentions "Dundas Street" and "Streetcars". The equivalent sign on the outside would be:

ENTRANCE to building : [Subway] : Toronto Life Square building south west side floor 1 and northbound Yonge-University subway.

Thank goodness the TTC isn't making MTO highway signs. Maybe if the TTC was forced to make bilingual signs they would get some common sense and simplify things.
