Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

Insight to Crosstown delays
"RTG partners even competed against themselves for skills. The same consortium won a $5-billion deal in mid-2015 to build a light rail system across Eglinton Avenue in Toronto — a project that is running behind schedule. A shortage of skills drove up costs at both sites as the trades demanded more money."

I hope the shelters are more extensive than was shown in the renders, barely cover the platform, and there was no physical barriers that could help stop a errant vehicle from going up on the platform. The platforms on St Clair and the VIVA BRT stops especially had both of these.

Don't have your hopes up. It'll look something like the renders.

Some shots I took today, doesn't look too bad and has a decent coverage (for maybe 10-15 people at most)

They really should have the roof extend all the way over the tracks to the other side to properly protect waiting passengers from rain/snow etc. It's just as disappointing that it doesn't extend the entire length of the platform either. Do we really only get 2-3 of these per side? This reeks of 'absolute minimum".

It couldn't extend over the LRT because of the over head wires. And we really would need only 2 or 3 of these. Not everything needs to be state-of-the-art
