This area needs a large LCBO. The one a couple blocks over is absolute garbage. The one at Ossington and Bloor is absolute garbage. Dupont and Spadina is the closest decent one.

I still stand-by my earlier statement. If this is Allied's worst, it's still better than at least half the garbage other developers spew out in the core.

It's so far below their usual standard that I didn't even realize it was an Allied project until ProjectEnd pointed it out.

Maybe Riocan was more so the managing partner in this partnership? This seems more their style. Plus it is my understanding that they are leading the midrise rental down the street that will replace the existing LCBO.. and this is getting built just to move the tenant.

The wine section is really good. The entire west and south walls are fridges - mostly filled with bad beer. Not too much craft beer. Whiskey section is good.

Lighting is looking good. Too bad they decided to put a stairwell right behind the street-facing window on the left. Was that really the best use they could find for the front of a nicely restored heritage building on a lively street?
