Lesser recognized buildings in Toronto that you enjoy

To start things off, here are a few buildings in Toronto that don't typically get recognized that I enjoy:

I like 717 Broadview as well, and coincidentally one of my favourites is the City Adult Learning Centre across the street, which is somewhat "hidden away" by its significant setback from the Danforth, and is, sadly, slowing rotting away.

I spent most of my early life here. From daycare to grade 6! I'm happy to see it get some recognition.

Staying in the east end,
Westminister Court Retirement Residences, 156 Floyd ave.

I live across the street and have always appreciated the angled design rather than the slab towers on adjacent streets.

Love this thread. Continuing on the Dupont theme, there are a whole bunch (like 672 Dupont) that would make for excellent buy-out and whole-scale reno projects, some with additions of a few floors above.

I don't know the legal address, but the NE corner of Dupont and Ossington has long been on my list; would love to see this reno'd as-is, and perhaps an upwards addition with the green motif carried through:

And then same goes for the NE corner of Dovercourt and Dupont, which was at least for a while slated to be the location of a Bellwoods Brewery extension:

260 Heath St W is another one for me. As with 245 Davisville, I tend to be fond of the curved brick balcony look.

Forest Hills I, II, and III on Antibes Drive in North York. The minimalist architecture evokes the kind of glass towers we build today like Casa, but the complex dates back to 1971. The minimalism is striking, especially on 135 Antibes Drive. The white bands for balcony railings appear to float thanks to the thin black vertical posts. The balcony slabs undulate in a subtle yet sublime pattern. The subtleties of the balcony design are complimented by the extensive use of black-framed glass, for an exquisite effect. It's hard to believe a nearly 50-year-old complex could look so contemporary. These glass condo towers look sharper than many of our contemporary condo buildings.

Good choice. Along similar lines, 10 and 20 Avoca Ave in Deer Park are another residential development that can certainly act as an early example for today's glass tower designs. Coincidentally, they were also completed in 1971.
