Toronto KING Toronto | 57.6m | 16s | Westbank | Bjarke Ingels Group

We have a new front page story up, detailing some of the changes made to the plans in a newly submitted revision, including a number of new renderings. Other new renderings are included in the newly republished database file, up at the top of this page.

I think they've made a number of good moves, and I'm liking this revision to 2.0 quite a bit.

I still can't get over the glass bricks. Such an unexpected choice -- one I doubted at first but am increasingly optimistic BIG knows how to pull off. The many peaks and angles here should hopefully let them play with light in interesting ways. It'll also be neat to see light coming through the glass brick 'windows' (translucent walls?), although from the inside they'll look pretty darn retro!

Gee:cool: the world is now here in Toronto, Bjarke Ingels, Moshe Safdie, Frank Gehry, Foster + Partners, Wilkinson Eyre, 3XN,
...anyone else missing from building this great city of ours,
