Something tells me that Daniels have dome much better with Regent Park that what Concord did with City Place.

You mean the developer have done better financially? Not sure - but RP has certainly served as a better model for (re)developing large sites close to the core.

Yes Alvin, The Regent Park has been converted into a much livable community but at the same time, the buildings architectural merits suit that area much much better that how City Place buildings fit a very important core of the city.
 
Compared with CityPlace, the new parts of Regent Park look like the more attractive neighbourhood from a city-building perspective. The buildings in the new Regent Park are more varied in terms of architecture. There are more community amenities like athletic and recreation facilities. The streetscapes look better with more variety in pavements and landscaping. It's a better contemporary city neighbourhood than CityPlace.

Toronto's Regent Park community has been undergoing a major multi-phased redevelopment for a dozen years now, and work has recently begun to shift towards the development's third phase. Joining the ongoing phase three projects, early information regarding the south portion of Block 16 came to light at the end of 2016, revealing initial details about a mixed-use development containing a housing co-op and market-price condominiums, as well as office and retail space.
 
The renderings here look quite nice - I live just across the street from the Aquatic Centre at the moment. The area has changed so much since I've been here, with DuEast and the Wyatt coming up, it's going to completely change the neighbourhood -- for the better.

Daniel's has been doing a great job on the East Side.
 
Daniels now plans to build the midrise building as condos, not a co-op:

I suppose if Daniels wasn't obligated / contracted to do a certain type of tenure on this block, business is business and they can do whatever they want, just like any other developer?
