Shoring continues at 51 Camden. There are to be six below ground levels, the depth of the shoring piles is 65 feet, so not a fast process.

Definitely not a fast process. No shoring rigs on site today yet lots of piles driven. Wonder if I just visited at a bad time?

The ongoing issues between the City and Lamb / Brant Park have put this one in limbo for the time being. This morning:

What issues please?

AoD

From what I know, the city installed a below-grade power line so that it crossed the 51 Camden property line. When this project began shoring, it severed the line, cutting most or all power to Brant Park. A tractor trailer-sized generator has been on site for several months now.

That's incredibly disappointing. I've been really looking forward to this one.

This project is only delayed, not cancelled. Once the issues with the neighbour have been worked out, it will resume.

You can see just the tip of a Toronto Hydro manhole cover in the lower left of the above photo with the shoring only a few feet away (or right next to the hydro vault on the property line) Make sense things like this can happen.
