SmartCentres Thornhill is a 20-acre commercial shopping centre at the intersection of Centre Street and Bathurst Street. These lands have been identified in the Region of York Official Plan as within the Urban Area, and in the City of Vaughan Official Plan as within a Primary Centre and the Regional Intensification Corridors, ultimately calling for a high-rise, mixed-use development.

SmartLiving, on behalf of Metrontario and the Penguin Group of Companies, is working with the City of Vaughan continue to evolve the long-term vision for these lands by way of Planning Applications for an Official Plan Amendment, Rezoning, and Site Plan Approval to permit the development of two residential buildings at heights of 29-storeys and 27-storeys, connected by a 3-storey podium with retail at grade.

Located within a 1.3-acre portion of vacant land west of Disera Drive, the proposed development will add 630 residential units, a shared amenity space and structured parking.
