Revitalizing Maple Leaf Gardens, an iconic Toronto landmark, the Mattamy Athletics Centre will create a legacy for a new generation of Ryerson students and the local community and a new exciting home for the Ryerson Rams. Nearly 220,000 sq ft (20,400 m2) on the building's upper floors will supplement the university's existing athletic facilities. The new centre's street-level retail complex will include a flagship grocery store owned by project partner Loblaw Companies Limited, as well as Joe Fresh and the LCBO, two Loblaw retail tenants.
