Coxwell Station Improvements
The TTC is committed to making its services accessible in order to better meet the needs of seniors and people with disabilities in the City of Toronto. At Coxwell Station, as well as the changes to make the station fully accessible, there are some general improvements that need to be made. We call this “State of Good Repair” work. All this work is being combined into one project to reduce disruption.
When the work is finished, Coxwell Station users will find a barrier-free path to all levels of the station including:
- Two elevators to access eastbound and westbound platforms
- Two accessible fare gates
- Three automatic sliding doors to enter station
- Improved signage and wayfinding
- CCTV – Security Cameras
All of these modifications were reviewed by ACAT.
“State of Good Repair” improvements include:
- Re-paving of bus loop
- Upgrading station power
- Enhanced lighting with new light standards in bus loop
- Replacement of fence on the west side of the property
- New landscape design adjacent to bus loop
