Agreed, this would have looked cool five years ago, but at this point it's too cookie-cutter to get excited about.
Look how hilarious the little John Lyle studio façade looks in that rendering.
Looks just fine to me. There are so many bad developments out there that a handsome one - though perhaps not groundbreaking - that meets the street well and fits in is worth celebrating.
I like it. There's nothing wrong with being like 18 Yorkville. It's arguably the best building to go up in this entire condo boom.
On a side note the parking lot at 100 Yorkville was closed off today. Construction starting???
