Work continues on both 101 St. Clair West (now known as 'One O One') and at the Blue Diamond condos at Avenue Road and St. Clair in Midtown Toronto. Both projects are developed by Camrost Felcorp and are already reshaping the Avenue and St. Clair area.
First we'll take a look at One O One where recent construction images portrays the building has now topped off and cladding is almost complete. One thing that makes One O One unique from other nearby towers along St. Clair is that it is not built right at the street. Developed by Camrost-Felcorp and designed by OneSpace Unlimited, the residential rental building is expected to be completed later this summer.
At Blue Diamond Condos right next door, recent work since our last report has included removing much of the roof of the sanctuary of the former 1911-built Norman-Gothic style Deer Park United Church on the site, while excavation should commence soon as crews are currently working on the shoring. The Blue Diamond condos are designed by Diamond Schmitt Architects, with overseeing ERA Architects the conversion of the former church into a "ruin" around which the outdoor amenities will be constructed.
Blue Diamond Condos will rise 26 storeys with 226 suites. Located at 121 St. Clair West, residents will have easy access to public transportation along St. Clair Avenue, halfway between St. Clair and St. Clair West subway stations.
