Tim Welch Consulting Inc. has submitted a site plan control application to add 24 new rental units to the existing 103-unit Wigwamen Terrace building located at 14 Spadina Road just north of Bloor. Wigwamen Terrace provides affordable rental housing to older adults and senior citizens from the local Indigenous Community. The existing building, built in the 1970s is 5,146 square metres in size and has two wings that are 3 and 6 storeys in height.

The new 24 seniors' rental units, a new double-height community amenity room, and rooftop terrace will be added in a 3-storey addition designed by LGA Architectural Partners. It will rise above the existing 3-storey wing which front Spadina Road.

Wigwamen Incorporated is a local non-profit and charitable organization that provides more than 700 affordable rental housing units to Indigenous households in Toronto and Ottawa. It is also Ontario's largest and oldest urban Indigenous non-profit housing provider. Its goal is to provide safe, well maintained and affordable housing for the Indigenous community.
