With preliminary site activity now underway for yet another phase of The Daniels Corporation's Daniels Erin Mills master-planned community in Mississauga, sales continue for "Arc", the development's 19-storey third phase. To get a better understanding of the development prior to its official Q1 2017 construction launch, we recently visited the project's Erin Mills Parkway and Eglinton presentation centre, which serves as a sales and information hub mere steps from the development site.
Stepping inside, visitors to the space are greeted by a reception and waiting area with seating and basic information about the master-planned community. Ample window coverage fills this area with natural light, while also offering views towards the community's existing towers.
Beyond the reception area, the main space features the star attraction: a scale model of the Kirkor Architects Planners-designed Arc. Enticing potential buyers with a scaled-down depiction of the development, the Arc scale model highlights the project's unconventional undulating curved walls, cladding details, and the project's much-anticipated public piazza fronting the corner of Erin Mills and Eglinton. We will return in the coming weeks to explore this model in detail.
Following the undulating walls theme, floorplans of units at Arc are fixed to a curving perforated metal wall.
On the opposite wall, two semi-private areas provide a quiet environment for purchasers to review paperwork and finalize sales agreements, partitioned from the main space by sliding glass walls.
Deeper into the presentation centre, kitchen and bathroom vignettes provide mockups of the finishes on offer for Arc's suites.
Adjacent to the suite vignettes, two different finish packages are on display, providing a glimpse into the alternative colours and textures available for suites within the development.
