Adopted by City Council back in 2014, Toronto's Midtown in Focus plan aims to improve parks and public spaces in the area. The Yonge-Davisville neighbourhood is the latest to be singled out, with the City of Toronto now seeking public input into the future of the area's parks and public spaces, bound by Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Oriole Park, Davisville Junior Public School and Hodgson Senior Public School.
Area residents will have the chance to share their comments and concerns at an upcoming public workshop scheduled to take place later this month. The workshop will begin by briefing members of the public with an overview presentation outlining the City’s objectives for the study, followed by hour-long guided walks through the community, covering existing public spaces. Following the walks, groups will reconvene at Greenwood College School to share their ideas and observations, which will be considered by the City for the Midtown in Focus plan.
The Davisville Parks and Public Realm Workshop will take place on Saturday, November 19th from 1 to 5 PM at Greenwood College School, located at the southeast corner of Mt. Pleasant and Davisville.
