On Friday, September 30th, Lifetime Developments and Zancor Homes' annual Smashed Ping Pong event returns for its 5th year. This year, UrbanToronto joins the event as a sponsor, partnering with a number of the city's prominent design, development, and construction firms to support an initiative that has already raised over $350,000 in its short history.

The table tennis tournament features 32 entrants, with a $1,000 grand prize for winner. The tournament will be followed by a catered after party, which brings together some 400 attendees to support a trio of charities. Raising money for WE (Free the Children), Make-A-Wish Foundation, and Lifeline (Lifetime's Charitable Foundation), the event will bring together Toronto's real estate, development, and construction professionals for a night of paddlin' and party-going.

This year's event will be held at REBEL, the re-invigorated—and rebranded—Sound Academy nightclub, which opens to the public on Saturday, October 1st. Held in advance of the club's grand re-opening, SMASHED offers a sneak preview of the new space well into the early after-party hours.
