The ongoing demolition of Toronto's St. Lawrence Market North is in the process of wiping the slate clean at the northwest corner of Front and Jarvis, which will prime the site for the current building's successor. Designed by Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners and Adamson Associates Architects, the new five-storey North Market building is tentatively slated to begin construction in 2017, and could open as soon as 2019. Today's Photo of the Day features an aerial view of the demolition, captured from the neighbouring condominium complex to the west.
