It has been just over a month since we first discussed Mattamy Homes and Biddington Homes' plans to add a 53-storey condominium tower to Toronto's growing Humber Bay Shores skyline. The Graziani + Corazza Architects-designed Vita on the Lake would rise within the western half of this quickly-changing community, on a site at 2161 Lake Shore Boulevard West, a short distance east of Park Lawn Road in South Etobicoke.

The development is offering 489 condominium units, available in sizes ranging from 390 square foot studio layouts all the way up to to 1,970 square foot two-bedroom plus den layouts. Residents will be treated to a selection of amenities appointed by interior designers U31, including an outdoor pool and lounge with a barbecue area, a fitness centre, a party room, a bar, a dining room, and indoor lounges.

A rendering of the ground floor lobby space—to be staffed by a 24-hour concierge—gives us our first glimpse of the building's interior spaces, depicting a lofty space boasting natural finishes of wood and stone. The entire east wall of this space will be clad in floor-to-ceiling glazing, allowing natural light to fill the space.

A ground floor plan for the project reveals additional amenities including a secondary lobby and a dog wash station, as well as the gh3-landscaped forecourt shown in the tower's hero rendering. A smaller forecourt is also shown fronting the main lobby to the southeast, at the northwest corner of Annie Craig Drive and Silver Moon Drive.

The project's site plan puts the development in context within the Humber Bay Shores community, as well as the related Mattamy/Biddington boutique condominium development planned next to the Vita site. The buildings are the left-most two below with the deep blue Mattamy logo shown on them.

We will return with more information as new details about the project emerge. In the meantime, additional facts are available in the project's dataBase file, linked below.
