Since being founded by the provincial government back in 1976, Tarion Warranty Corporation has been Ontario’s official home building industry regulator, protecting new home buyers’ purchases with warranty coverage. Four decades after Tarion’s founding, the real estate landscape has gone through major changes, while the digital age has transformed the way we access information. With a newly-relaunched website, Tarion is making it easier to find useful resources for both homebuyers and builders.
The website relaunch is the result of a survey responses by web users on how the previous site could be improved, plus feedback from advisory firms in the technology, communications and research industries. “Tarion has listened to home buyers and builders, and created the tools they asked us for. Our website is now easier to navigate and has more useful resources. Tarion has supported home buyers and builders for the past 40 years, and this is just another way we continue to evolve to ensure that the warranty meets their needs”, said Howard Bogach, President and CEO of Tarion Warranty Corporation.
“Using real user feedback, we re-designed our website to enhance the online experience. Some of the improvements include simpler navigation and better organization so you can find what you are looking for faster,” continued Bogach. Visitors to the new site arrive at a landing page which quickly directs home buyers and builders to the resources, while featured tabs lead visitors to a comprehensive guide to new home warranties, a directory of home builders, Tarion's 'MyHome' warranty management system, and a critical dates calculator.
“Tarion is here to make sure the new home buying experience is working. We ensure there are standards in construction and customer service, and support home buyers and owners throughout the entire new home buying experience,” said Bogach. “Since buying a new home is one of the most significant and financially impactful decisions that someone can make in their lifetime, it’s important to have proper support and guidance throughout this process.”
