Toronto's hot real estate market continues to foster new development, though rising prices within the city limits have become increasingly exclusionary, forcing many buyers to look beyond the 416 for their new homes. At the same time, major investment potential and the changing demographics in the surrounding suburban areas are making condominium living more attractive. 50 kilometres across the lake from Downtown Toronto, a major condominium development is in the process of transforming the Grimsby waterfront, as construction progresses on LJM DevelopmentsWaterview Condominiums.

Construction of the 9-storey Icon Architects-designed development will soon achieve a milestone, as the final residential level has been poured and work has commenced on the mechanical penthouse level above. In the coming weeks the final formwork for the mechanical penthouse will be completed, after which the structure will be officially topped out.

At the north end of the site, work is underway on a single-storey volume which will shelter parking under it, and provide a raised deck for outdoor amenities above. Most of the columns are now in place here, while the concrete slab has been poured at the west end.

As construction continues on the first of the project's two phases, sales are underway on the second phase of the development, planned for the immediate east of phase one. To help promote the project, LJM will be hosting an event at the project's on-site presentation centre on June 25th, between 11 AM and 6 PM, to provide buyers a last opportunity to get in on pre-construction pricing.

Catered by Fraticelli's and featuring Niagara wines, the event will offer incentives including VIP pricing, an included locker, a second parking space at a $10000 discount, a $1,000 Holt Renfrew gift card, and a 5% down deposit structure. Other incentives will include the choice between a free 50" Smart TV (delivered at time of occupancy) or a stay for two at Inn on the Twenty.
