Today's Photo of the Day, submitted to the UrbanToronto Flickr Pool by Jae Yang, features the Rosedale Valley Bridge, a 1966-built concrete arch bridge carrying TTC Line 2 subway traffic over the Rosedale Valley. Designed by John B. Parkin, the bridge originally had two rows of open skylights that provided ventilation and natural light, though this feature would eventually be enclosed to mitigate noise. The image below shows the bridge—with the covered skylights clearly visible—set against a backdrop of the Bloor-Yorkville skyline.
