Among the many sites that offered public access last weekend during the 17th annual Doors Open Toronto, one of the most popular was Allied Properties REIT's Queen Richmond Centre West, or QRC West. Designed by Sweeny &Co Architects with Stephenson Engineering, the office development is one of the newest structures in Toronto's Entertainment District. The building's five-storey atrium contains three 70-foot X-shaped supports, known as delta frames, which support the load of the office levels above. A shot of this space, submitted to the UrbanToronto Flickr Pool by Empty Quarter, appears in today's Photo of the Day.
