Since late last year, UrbanToronto has followed State and Madison's 609 Avenue Road, a 19-storey condominium coming to Midtown Toronto. Located just north of the growing St. Clair West corridor, the Richmond Architects-designed building will add 161 suites to an already dense strip of Avenue Road. Following last month's profile of the changing neighbourhood, and April's preview of the floorplans, we now take a closer look at the project's interiors.

Appointed by Tomas Pearce Design Interior Design, the project's interiors include a ground floor cluster of amenities, as well as a spacious rooftop lounge and terrace. The aesthetic tone for the interiors is set by the lobby, which is characterized by a combination of earth tones and sleek finishes, with a central fireplace to lend the space a warmer ambiance.

Ground floor amenities also include a media lounge, a fitness centre, a guest suite, a dining room with caterer's kitchen, and a pet washing station. Seen below, the party room presents a slightly softer expression of earth tones, with natural light and a soothing colour scheme defining the space.

Moving into the model suite, a similar aesthetic shapes the space. While a range of custom finishes is available, the on-site model suite—housed in the sales centre—offers a preview of the interior decor style. In the kitchen, an interplay of light hues is shown, highlighting the subtle wood grain and marbling patterns across the kitchen surfaces.

Seen below, one of the model suite's bedrooms is outfitted in a similar decor scheme, with a large floor-to-ceiling closet giving the wall a note of texture. Above the bed, a soft padded headboard also covers the entire wall, giving the room a luxurious but intimate feel.

Meanwhile, one of the model suite's bathrooms offers a glimpse at a somewhat different design aesthetic. Here, the walls pick up on the dark, sleek earth tones seen in the lobby, making for a formal and somewhat dramatic space.

Finally, the building will be topped by a rooftop terrace, where the elegant decor will provide a luxurious backdrop to views of the surrounding city. This relaxed space is characterized by wood panelling, playing up the terrace's outdoorsy aesthetic. Meant to serve as a sort of private getaway in the city, the west-facing space is positioned to provide sunset views.
