Concrete forming of the 50-storey Lago at the Waterfront and 16-storey Riva del Lago condominium developments by Mattamy Homes and the Biddington Group is complete as both buildings have reached their final heights on Toronto's growing Humber Bay Shores skyline. The two Graziani + Corazza Architects-designed towers have each made considerable progress since our most recent mid-April update, and will soon both join their neighbours as part of this growing urban community on Lake Ontario.

At 50 storeys, Lago at the Waterfront will hold the title of the area's tallest building for the next many moons until Eau du Soleil surpasses it sometime next year just to the southwest. Windows now seal off all but the top three levels Lago. Installation of the tower's alternating black and white balcony glazing follows a few levels behind, which when aided by the underpainting of the balconies, will soon complete the main exterior expression of shifting four-storey light and dark volumes.

As the installation of design details wraps up for Lago at the Waterfront, neighbouring Riva del Lago's cladding installation is making a big difference on the structure. Window installation now reaches the eighth floor, while panels of the same pre-assembled slate-coloured brick which are employed on Lago's podium have now been installed as high as Riva's fifth floor.

Though Riva del Lago won't include the same shifting volume design as its taller sibling, it will include the alternating white and back balcony design. The rendering of Riva below shows how the building will appear upon completion.

The completed Lago at the Waterfront and Riva del Lago community will bring over 800 new condominium units and over 1,000 new residents to the Humber Bay Shores area, a growing neighbourhood which is now seeing its increasing number of local shops and restaurants thrive as more people move in.
