Plaza's Musée Condos has achieved a major milestone in its construction, with the recent disassembly and removal of the tower crane used to build the 17-storey condominium development in Toronto's King West neighbourhood. The lowering of the tower crane was captured in time lapse by Nariman Mousavi—project architect for the development at Quadrangle Architects—from a vantage point at the south end of the building.

Captured over the span of a full day, the video focuses on the tower crane itself, showing the individual segments being removed and lowered with the help of an unseen mobile crane parked at street level below. The first few seconds show the jib arm being secured to lines before being detached at the 0:12 second mark. The counterjib and the tower peak both follow at 0:16, and finally, the main mast section is detached at 0:20.

In the coming months, the final panels of glazing will seal off the building and work on fitting out the interiors will transform initially raw concrete spaces into the new homes for hundreds of residents. The project's addition of density to King West will be accompanied by a new 8,000 square foot park planned for the southeast corner of the site, the recent site of the tower crane and current construction staging area. The park will be accessible via the charming block-long Adelaide Place, as well as through an open-air galleria connecting with Adelaide Street West.
