It has only been a few months since details began to emerge about Hill and Dale Residences, a six-storey, mixed-use project named for its location where the Summer(Hill) and Rose(Dale) neighbourhoods meet. In previous updates, we have covered the proposal's Studio JCI-designed exterior and massing in context with the surrounding area, and today we are returning with a first look at the Old Stonehenge and Clifton Blake Group development's Chapi Chapo Design-appointed suite interiors.
The Hill and Dale building will feature retail fronting onto Yonge Street, while approximately 10,000 ft² of rental office space will be located on the floor above. The upper volume of the building will house just 17 luxury residences ranging in size from a spacious 871 ft² suite to a truly impressive 3,634 ft² penthouse.
Renderings of the suite interiors depict bright, lofty spaces with ample natural light: cfilings in Hill and Dale's smaller units will be 10 feet high, while larger suites will boast 11-foot ceilings. In fact, with the high ceilings, the structure's glazed exterior, and a lack of nearby high-rises, plenty of natural light will penetrate deep into the suites here.
The developers and design team have partnered with bulthaup and Gaggeneau to design and furnish the kitchens, which will feature integrated appliances, long kitchen islands, quartz surfaces, stainless steel backsplashes, and millwork cabinetry.
Master bedrooms at Hill and Dale Residences will connect to ensuite bathrooms with French doors, natural stone finishes for walls and floors, custom vanities, and deep soaker tubs with walk-in showers.
The building's stepbacks will create large outdoor terraces for residents, which will offer largely unobstructed views of the surrounding Summerhill and Rosedale neighbourhoods, with the bustling Bloor-Yorkville area featuring in the southerly views.
We will return with more details of the project as they become available. In the meanwhile, make sure to check out our dataBase file for more information.
