What would have been the 100th birthday of urban activist Jane Jacobs is approaching, and the Toronto of today is a far cry from the city she moved to in 1968. To celebrate Jacobs' legacy and the city that welcomed her ideas, the New Urbanism Film Festival will be screened in Canada for the first time ever. The festival will be shown in two instalments in the U of T's Innis Town Hall on April 21st and May 26th.

The festival will feature thirty short films from around the world with a general focus on improving cities. Specific topics range from areas like public transportation and cycling culture, to urban farming and street art. A list of the films being screened at this year's festival is included below.
