There are now just a couple days remaining to view the winning entries of Winter Stations 2016. For those who haven't had the chance to visit Balmy, Kew, and Ashbridges Bay Beaches since the winning installations last month, several photographs have documented the transformed lifeguard stations. Today’s Photo of the Day, submitted to the UrbanToronto Flickr Pool by Michael Muraz, we are shown "The Steam Canoe" by OCADU, an installation resembling an inverted canoe covered in a wood panel exterior. Before warm temperatures melted the most recent layer of snow, solar tubes at the rear of the shelter heated snow to steam to create an aura of fog.
