The first round of public consultations about Toronto's new 15 year transit plan is over, but this is just the start of a lengthy process. If you want your voice to be heard about any aspect of this ambitious set of objectives, you should visit this page where a number of the relevant studies have been linked to and email TransitTO@toronto.ca or stakeholderrelations@metrolinx.com with your contributions.

You can also see the city's summaries of the feedback from public consultations so far at this link. Over the next month the city and Metrolinx will be revising and updating its plans taking into account both the feedback and the results of studies that have been coming out while the consultation was in progress. For example, the ridership projections for SmartTrack (at various fares and frequencies) and for the Relief Line and the Yonge subway extension were released this month, and responsibility for SmartTrack is now in the hands of Metrolinx. The preferred corridor for the Relief Line goes to Toronto City Council on March 31.
